Safe By Choice  - The Power of Conviction to Follow Safety Procedures

Safety is a Personal Responsibility

Participants will see the impact of safety not only on the job, but also as it pertains to their personal lives, and their friends and family; the implications of safety, or the lack of safety, are far-reaching and not always readily apparent.

Using Experiential Learning to Drive Conviction

Safe by Choice heavily focuses on using experiential learning to teach the messages within the program. The program challenges each participant to fully commit to following the safety protocols in place within the company, and shows how and why doing this is critical. By participating in experiential activities, each participant will both feel and see the impact of what it truly means to commit to behaving in a safe manner.

Know Right, Do Right, Lead Right

Leaders will be able to understand that they must inspire the will, build the skills and ensure that processes are followed by their employees.

“Know Right”—know what it means to be profitable for the company, but also safe.

They must “Do Right”—leaders will address the option to forego living the company’s values in favor of “getting the job done”.

Leaders must also “Lead Right”—A leader must be and act safe themselves, they must train their employees to be safe and they must demand (not just suggest) that all safety protocols are followed all the time.

Safe by Choice drives conviction that every person must follow all safety procedures and foster an environment that produces workplace safety. It does not replace, enhance or improve a company’s current procedures, policies or safety training.
